The track EA is contributing to the VampireFreaks compilation will be “Opheliac.” The 4-disc set will be released on June 15. More information here.

“Fxxk The Mainstream – vol.1″ will be the first official compilation from VampireFreaks.com. The tentative release date is set for June 15th 2007 through Alfa-Matrix. We hope to start pre-sales by end of this month when the whole design and track listing is complete.

The compilation will consist of mostly unreleased tracks/remixes, and will include material from Seabound, Mindless Faith, VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berzerk, Zombie Girl, Ayria, The Birthday Massacre, Emilie Autumn, Servo.Hatred, The Cruxshadows, Helalyn Flowers, Collide, Reaper and more. More info to be announced soon.

According to Steve Vai’s official site, he is looking for a violinist to join him for his upcoming tour.

“I’m thinking of having a violin player in the band that can understand how to play like a violin player but still rip it up when necessary. Imagine some of those guitar lines doubled with a violin. That’s pretty strung up!”
