Emilie has stated in an interview on a Mexican website that she will be recording a new album after the 2010 European tour! whispering_shadows from the official forum translated this excerpt:

“Emilie says that she knows which songs will be the first and the last one on the next album, and she says she also knows the title. After that, she says that she plans to record it next year after the European tour.

Finally, when she got asked how it will sound, she answered ‘I’ve known this for a while, it will be more hardcore, more violent, more intense and more of everything, because now it’s all about thinking what happens when a prisoner is behind the bars. It will be crazy, it will have more metal, and it will still be beautiful.’”

The End Records has signed EA and will be releasing Opheliac in the US on October 27, 2009. This deluxe edition of the album will include five bonus tracks, videos and interviews, and outtakes. For more information, click here.

EA’s server has crashed due to the heavy load from trying to send out all the Opheliac Companion downloads. Unfortunately a lot of data was lost in the crash, so EA is delaying the release of the Opheliac Companion until Monday in order to recover everything. EA will be including an extra video download with the Opheliac Companion as a special extra because of the delay. If you would like to request a refund, you can email biz@emilieautumn.com.
