Asylum book shipping delayed

There has been a delay in the shipping of the Asylum books. Pre-orders that were supposed to be shipped in April have been moved back to June due to complications with the printing company.

Emilie will be autographing all pre-orders as a thank you for your patience. However, if you wish to cancel your pre-order, you can do so by emailing help@asylumemporium.com.

The second edition of The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls is available for preorder on Emilie’s official site. Currently, preorders are only open to North American fans, but worldwide preorders will be available within the next few days.

EA just announced via Twitter that the Asylum Book will be released on October 27 in a special package along with the rerelease of Opheliac. This “Ultimate Book/Album Bundle” will contain:

“Are You Suffering?” Tote Bag
“From the Asylum Pantry” Recipe Booklet
Plus digital downloads of audio excerpts from the Asylum Book.

Digital Downloads and Book Reading

All of EA’s albums, plus her poetry book Your Sugar Sits Untouched, are now available as digital downloads in the Asylum Junk Yard!

Also, Emilie will be holding a book reading and tea party in Chicago on the 25th of July (next Saturday). Check out this thread on the official forums for more information.

The Asylum Book has been delayed due to technical problems. Data was lost and EA had no way of recovering it before the tour, but to make it up to all the muffins, she is going to record a complete book reading after the tour, which will be included with the book!
